OK, OK, folks, I get it. I announced a while ago that the domain ayurvediclovepotions.in is available for sale. As part of the pitch I claimed that the .in [= India] extension was part of the charm of the domain. That is, it seems both more authoritative and mysterious if a domain dealing with the ancient Indian medical art known as Ayurveda originated from the home country.
Traffic to this domain has skyrocketed since I placed a notice about it on this board. The number of hits are astonishing, especially considering that all the viewer sees when they go to this site is a dull, boring Sedo sales page. Sedo is a fine company and I am reluctant to say anything bad about them, but their graphics put me to sleep.
That said, of all the new visitors none went so far as to offer to cross my palms with silver. People want to look, but not to buy.
Why is that, I wonder. Hmmm, something's going on here.
Maybe it's the .in thing. Maybe it's the fact that domain buyers are very reluctant to plunk their money down for any sites other than .com's. It is a safe diagnosis to say that domain buyers in the 2000s are obsessed with .com domains and phobic of most of the other extensions, Rick Latona excepted.
Following up on this hunch, I now offer for sale the domain ayurvediclovepotions.com.
It's a perfectly good name, although to me it utterly lacks the charm of the same domain with the .in extension. If you go there you will be greeted with a typical boring Sedo sales page.
Real domain buyers know the Sedo page doesn't mean much. It's just a place holder until the real thing comes along. In this case the 'real thing' will be a website dealing with two topics: 1) the alternate medicine practice of ayurvedic medicine, which has a substantial worldwide following, and 2) sex. I'm sure I won't be the first one to tell you that SEX SELLS.
Hurry over to either ayurvediclovepotions.com or ayurvediclovepotions.in Make your bid. Share the love. Let's hope you get lucky.
